What this covers
Webfreezee customers can connect a Facebook Page, and an Instagram professional account linked to it, so they can write, schedule and publish posts from the Webfreezee Portal and see how those posts do. Webfreezee uses the same feature for its own Facebook Page and Instagram account. This page explains how to remove that connection and the information that goes with it.
What we keep while an account is connected
For each Page or Instagram account you choose to connect, we keep the access token Facebook gives us, encrypted and on our servers only (it never reaches your browser); the account's name, ID and profile picture; follower numbers and post results such as reactions, comments, shares and reach, where Meta provides them; and the posts you write in the Portal, with the photos you add.
When you sign in with Facebook, we see the list of Pages you manage so that you can choose which to connect. The Pages you don't choose are never stored, and the list itself is deleted as soon as you choose, or within half an hour if you don't.
Disconnect in the Portal
- Sign in to your Webfreezee Portal.
- Open Social in the menu.
- Under Accounts, choose the disconnect button next to the Page or Instagram account, and confirm.
- Do the same for each account you want to remove.
What disconnecting deletes
Disconnecting deletes our stored access token for that account straight away, together with its connection data: the connection itself, the account's ID and picture, and the follower numbers and post results we collected from it. From then on we can't post to the account or read anything from it.
Posts that have already been published stay on Facebook or Instagram; delete them there if you want them gone. Your post history in the Portal, which shows what was posted, where and when, stays until you remove those posts or ask us to delete it.
Removing Webfreezee in Facebook
You can also remove Webfreezee's access from Facebook itself: in Facebook, open Settings & privacy, then Settings, then Business integrations (or Apps and websites), and remove Webfreezee. That stops our access straight away, and we post nothing more to the account. To delete the information we still hold, disconnect in the Portal as above, or email us.
Delete everything else
To delete everything else we hold about you or your business, including your post history, photos and other Portal records, email hello@webfreezee.co.uk from the address on your account, or tell us your business name, and say what you would like deleted. We reply within 30 days and confirm when it is done.
We may have to keep some records, such as invoices, for as long as the law requires. If so, we will tell you which and why.
