What the website needed to do
A martial arts club has two audiences. New families want to know which class suits their child, where and when it runs, what it costs and whether it is safe. Existing students and parents want to pay for training, membership and gradings, buy uniforms and find out about the next grading or event. JU JITSU UK needed one website that did both: a clear path from a parent’s first question to a free trial lesson, and a place to pay and order without chasing the club by phone.
How we shaped it, in full
How we shaped it
Webfreezee built a bold black, red and white design around the JU JITSU UK logo and real photos and film from the club’s own classes. The home page leads with a class finder: choose a town and who is training, and the timetable shows every matching class with a button to request a trial for that session. Each town has its own page with its venue, timetable and map. The free trial form asks the questions an instructor needs, including any health conditions or additional needs and photo consent, and confirms what happens next. For existing members, training, memberships and grading fees can be paid online through GoCardless, uniforms and club clothing can be ordered from the shop, and every payment shows in the member’s own account. A safeguarding page names the club safeguarding officer, gives an independent way to raise a concern and shows the club’s certificates, so parents can check before they visit.
A website built around the business
The finished website works perfectly on phones and brings together a class finder for eleven weekly classes, pages for each town, children’s and teen and adult class pages, free trial requests, prices, online payments for memberships, monthly training and gradings, a kit shop with uniforms, hoodies and T-shirts in children’s and adult sizes, member accounts, events and gradings, Student of the Month awards, a gallery, Trevor’s story and the club’s safeguarding and BMABA School of Excellence recognition. Every page is set up so Google understands that this is a Ju Jitsu club and where it teaches.
