What the website needed to do
Tracy posts her weekly specials on Facebook, but a bakery also needs one place where people can see what is always available, what it costs and how to order. She needed a website that made her Pick & Mix offer of any four bakes for £12 easy to understand, showed the allergens for every bake, and turned a hungry visitor in Clacton into an order without a long back-and-forth of messages.
How we shaped it
Webfreezee built a warm pink and black design around the Tracys Bakes logo and photos of Tracy’s real bakes, with Tracy herself in the hero. The Pick & Mix gets its own page, where each of the twelve bakes is shown on its own card with its allergens, followed by a box builder: tap four bakes, add extras at £2.75 each and send the box to Tracy, with the running total kept at the bottom of the phone screen. Whole cakes, cheesecakes and celebration cakes each have their own page, and a short how-to-order page answers the questions about notice, collection, delivery and paying before anyone has to ask.
A website built around the business
The finished website works perfectly on phones and brings together the Pick & Mix and its box builder, a full menu with prices, pages for whole cakes, cheesecakes and celebration cakes, a gallery of Tracy’s bakes, her story from Tracy’s Café Bistro to Tracys Bakes, her food hygiene rating of 5, and order and celebration-cake enquiry forms. A banner on every page points to her weekly specials on Facebook, and every page is set up so Google understands that this is a bakery in Clacton-on-Sea and what it sells.
